The elusive Gonjasufi posted this new track entitled “Bury Me” to his MySpace page yesterday. Not sure exactly what the details surrounding this one are at the moment, but let’s hope it’s somewhat of a sneak peek for his new album, and quite an impressive one at that. Gonjasufi definitely isn’t for everyone, but once his croakey crooning gets stuck in your head, most will finding themselves head over heels for his passionate and unique approach to singing and song structure.
Not long ago he posted something on Twitter about Flying Lotus and Geoff Barro from Portishead producing his next album, and the Gaslamp Killer produced most of his last LP so I’m excited to find out who he’s been busy working with and if he collaborated with anyone on “Bury Me”. Oddly enough I found out about this from Kevin Martin who just joined under the name @thebugzoo. If he’s going to be posting tracks like this (and hopefully new ones from King Midas Sound and The Bug) in the future, I highly recommend following him.
